The Ukwa West Asa people are part of the larger Igbo ethnic group in southeastern Nigeria. Specifically, Ukwa West is located in Abia State, a region in the southeastern part of the country. This group belongs to the Igbo-speaking people of the Asa area, an area rich in history and culture. The people of Ukwa West, like many other Igbo communities, have a deep cultural heritage that intertwines with their societal norms, religion, and traditional institutions.
